Hello, I'm Rowan! I run Rowan Tree Dog Walking & Pet Sitting.  I've been living in beautiful Stroud for 23 years and have grown up with a consistent menagerie - from cats and dogs, rodents, reptiles and amphibians. I've been running my business on a both full time & part time basis for 9 years.  In this time I have gained experience with a great variety of breeds, sizes, temperaments and personalities and can offer walks that cater specifically to your dog.

I am professional, very reliable, flexible and have a genuine passion for dogs and the outdoors! I am an avid walker and on days off from walking dogs, you will often find me out on walks in the beautiful countryside.

I pay close attention to detail during walks & visits and ensure your pets welfare and safety is my top priority. I would never want your pets to come into harms way and carry a first aid kit with me at all times. 

​

I've spent many, many years cuddling, caring for and cleaning up after animals and am not afraid to get my hands dirty! That being said, if your dog loves to get muddy (I can't blame them!), I will make sure I'll return them to you back mud-free!

As well as my passion for dogs, I also love cats. I have lived with and owned cats my whole life and have personally rescued and rehabilitated cats. I offer cat pop in sessions as well as taxi to catteries.

Alongside dog walking,  I have explored my passion for all animals by working at Vale wildlife hospital and as an Animal Technician & Instructor at Hartpury College, so have gained a lot of experience with many animals! ​My time as an animal technician has broadened my experience with a variety of animals including arachnids, llamas, emus, wallabies and many many more - therefore I am used to a farm setting and able to care for pet farm animals as well as dogs! I have achieved a Distinction* in Animal Management and have a diploma in aquatic management.

 

​I am insured, DBS checked, first aid trained and have a full UK driving license. ​I am able to care for a variety of large and unique domestic animals other than dogs. Please check my 'Other Animal Care' page for more information!
